How to Block an IP Address in Webuzo
If a particular IP address is spamming your forms, scraping your content or hammering your site, you can stop it at the door. Webuzo’s IP blocking feature (often called the IP Deny Manager) refuses connections from addresses you choose, before they ever reach your website.
Block an IP address in Webuzo
- Log in to your Webuzo Enduser Panel.
- Open the Security section and click IP Deny Manager (or Block IP).
- Enter the IP address you want to block.
- Click Add. That address can no longer access your site.
You can also block a whole range if the abuse comes from many nearby addresses — but be careful not to block legitimate visitors.
Finding the offending IP
Not sure which IP to block? Your website statistics and access logs show visitor IP addresses, which helps you spot the source of suspicious activity.
A note on limits
Blocking individual IPs is great for a specific nuisance, but determined attackers change addresses constantly. For broader protection, lean on server-level security and, on a VPS, the Webuzo firewall.
Frequently asked questions
How do I unblock an IP I added by mistake?
Return to the IP Deny Manager, find the address in the list, and remove it. Access is restored immediately.
Will blocking an IP stop a determined hacker?
It stops that one address, but attackers often rotate IPs. Combine IP blocking with strong passwords, 2FA and up-to-date software.
I accidentally blocked myself.
If you lock yourself out, connect from another network (like mobile data) to remove the block, or contact support.
