How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in Webuzo

Your Webuzo panel controls your website, email and files, so protecting it with more than a password is well worth two minutes of your time. Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a one-time code from your phone at login, so even a stolen password is not enough to get in.

Before you start

Install an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy. It generates the rotating codes you will use.

Enable 2FA in Webuzo

Log in to your Webuzo Enduser Panel.
Open Configuration (or Settings) and find Two-Factor Authentication.
Scan the on-screen QR code with your authenticator app.
Enter the 6-digit code the app shows to confirm, then save.

Server owners can enable it the same way from the Admin Panel to protect the whole server.

Save your recovery details

If Webuzo offers backup or recovery codes, store them somewhere safe. They are your way back in if you lose your phone — without them, regaining access takes longer.

What happens if I lose my phone?

Use a saved backup code, or ask your server administrator to reset 2FA after verifying your identity. Open a ticket if you are locked out.

Is one authenticator app enough for everything?

Yes — a single app can hold codes for Webuzo, your email, WordPress and any other service that supports 2FA.

Do I still need a strong password with 2FA on?

Absolutely. 2FA is a second layer, not a replacement — keep using a strong, unique password too. See changing your Webuzo password.
