How to Change Your Webuzo Account Password
Changing your Webuzo password regularly is one of the simplest things you can do to keep your hosting account secure. Whether you are updating a weak password or you suspect someone else has seen it, the process takes under a minute.
Change your password from the Enduser Panel
- Log in to your Webuzo Enduser Panel.
- Open the Configuration (or Settings) area and choose Change Password.
- Enter your current password, then type your new password twice.
- Click Save (or Change Password). Thatβs it β the new password is active immediately.
You will use this same password the next time you sign in, so store it somewhere safe like a password manager.
Choosing a strong password
A good hosting password is worth the extra few seconds:
- Use at least 12 characters, mixing upper and lower case, numbers and symbols.
- Avoid names, birthdays or anything reused from another site.
- A random passphrase like
violet-otter-42-Rainyis both strong and memorable.
If you are locked out
If you cannot log in to change it, your server administrator can reset it for you. Just open a support ticket from your client area and we will set a temporary password you can change on first login.
Frequently asked questions
Does changing my Webuzo password affect my email or FTP?
Your main panel password is separate from individual email account and FTP account passwords. Change those separately if needed.
How often should I change it?
Every few months is reasonable, and immediately if you ever suspect it has been exposed.
