How to Cancel a Service or Request a Refund
Whether you are closing a project or simply changing direction, cancelling a service with VernalWeb is straightforward, and you stay in control of the timing. Here is how to request a cancellation and, where eligible, a refund.
How to cancel a service
- Log in to your client area.
- Go to Services and select the service you want to cancel.
- Choose Request Cancellation.
- Pick the timing — Immediate, or End of Billing Period to keep using it until the term you have paid for runs out.
- Add a brief reason (optional) and submit.
Choosing “End of Billing Period” is usually best, so you get the full value of what you have already paid for.
Before you cancel: save your data
Cancellation removes the account and its data, so back up anything you want to keep first — your website files, databases and emails. See backing up your website and export your email while the account is active.
How refunds work
If your plan includes a money-back guarantee and you are within that window, you can request a refund when you cancel. Refund eligibility depends on the product and how long you have had it — domain registrations, for example, generally are not refundable once registered. To request one, open a support ticket and our billing team will help.
Frequently asked questions
Will I lose my website immediately when I cancel?
Only if you choose immediate cancellation. Selecting end-of-period keeps everything running until your paid term ends.
Am I eligible for a refund?
It depends on the service and timing. Hosting within a money-back window may qualify; domains and certain add-ons typically do not. Ask billing to confirm your case.
Can I reactivate after cancelling?
If the data still exists, sometimes yes — contact support quickly. Once data is removed, it cannot be recovered, so back up first.
