How to Suspend or Unsuspend an Account in Webuzo

Suspending an account temporarily disables it without deleting anything — useful for an unpaid invoice, a policy issue, or a site that needs to be taken offline for a while. The files and data stay safe, and you can restore access at any time. This is an admin-level task.

What suspension does

When you suspend a user, their website stops loading (visitors see a suspension notice), and they cannot log in to their panel. Nothing is deleted — everything simply pauses until you unsuspend it.

Suspend an account

  1. Log in to the Webuzo Admin Panel.
  2. Open Users → List Users.
  3. Find the account and click Suspend.
  4. Optionally add a reason for your own records.

Unsuspend an account

  1. Return to List Users.
  2. Find the suspended account and click Unsuspend.
  3. The site and login are restored right away.

Suspend vs delete

Suspending is reversible and keeps all data. Deleting is permanent and removes everything — so when there is any chance the account will return, suspend rather than delete.

Frequently asked questions

Will suspending an account lose any data?

No. Files, email and databases are untouched. Only access is disabled until you unsuspend.

Can visitors still see the website while it is suspended?

No — they see a suspension message instead of the site. Email delivery is typically paused too.

How do I automate suspension for unpaid accounts?

If you use billing software with a Webuzo integration, it can suspend and unsuspend automatically based on payment status.
