How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Your VernalWeb Client Area

Your client area holds your services, billing and personal details, so it is worth protecting with more than just a password. Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step at login — a one-time code from your phone — so even if someone learns your password, they still cannot get in.

It takes about two minutes to set up, and it is one of the single best things you can do for your account’s security.

Before you start

Install a free authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy. This app generates the rotating codes you will use.

Enable 2FA step by step

  1. Log in to your VernalWeb client area at clients.vernalweb.com.
  2. Click your name and open Security Settings.
  3. Click Enable under Two-Factor Authentication.
  4. Scan the on-screen QR code with your authenticator app.
  5. Enter the 6-digit code the app shows to confirm, then save.

Save your backup codes

When 2FA is enabled you will be given backup codes. Store these somewhere safe — they are your way back in if you ever lose your phone. Without them, regaining access takes longer and requires identity checks.

Frequently asked questions

What if I lose my phone or backup codes?

Contact us to verify your identity and reset 2FA. This is deliberately strict to keep your account safe, so having those backup codes saved really helps.

Should I also enable 2FA on cPanel?

Yes — they protect different areas. See enabling 2FA in cPanel to secure your hosting control panel too.

Does 2FA make logging in slow?

Barely — it adds a few seconds to enter a code. That small step is well worth the big jump in security.
