How to Set Up SPF and DKIM Records for Email in Webuzo

If your emails keep landing in recipients’ spam folders, missing authentication records are the usual reason. SPF and DKIM are two DNS records that prove your mail genuinely comes from your domain — and setting them up is one of the best things you can do for deliverability.

What SPF and DKIM do

  • SPF lists which servers are allowed to send email for your domain.
  • DKIM adds a tamper-proof digital signature to every message you send.

Together they tell providers like Gmail and Outlook that your mail is legitimate.

Enable SPF and DKIM in Webuzo

  1. Log in to your Webuzo Enduser Panel.
  2. Open the Email section and look for Email Authentication (or SPF / DKIM).
  3. Enable SPF — Webuzo generates a suitable record for your server.
  4. Enable DKIM — Webuzo creates the signing key and matching record.

If your domain uses your server’s own DNS, Webuzo can add these records for you automatically. If your DNS is elsewhere (like your registrar or Cloudflare), copy the values Webuzo shows and add them there — see managing DNS records in Webuzo.

Consider adding DMARC too

Once SPF and DKIM are working, a DMARC record tells receivers how to handle mail that fails the checks. It is the finishing touch on strong email authentication.

Frequently asked questions

How long until my email deliverability improves?

Allow time for the records to spread — see DNS propagation. Improvements usually show within a day.

Can I have more than one SPF record?

No — a domain must have exactly one SPF record. If you send through other services too, merge their values into a single record.

My mail still goes to spam after setting these up.

Authentication is one factor; content and sender reputation matter too. Review your sending habits and avoid spammy formatting.
