How to Set Up Your VernalWeb Email in Outlook (IMAP & POP3)

Reading your email in Outlook keeps everything in one familiar place. Once you have the right server settings, connecting your VernalWeb mailbox takes just a few minutes. This guide gives you those settings and walks through the setup.

If you have not created your mailbox yet, start with creating an email account in cPanel.

Your email settings

Replace yourdomain.com with your real domain. We recommend IMAP so your mail stays in sync across devices.

  • Incoming (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.com, port 993, SSL/TLS
  • Incoming (POP3): mail.yourdomain.com, port 995, SSL/TLS
  • Outgoing (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com, port 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS)
  • Username: your full email address
  • Password: your mailbox password

Add the account in Outlook

  1. Open Outlook and go to File → Add Account.
  2. Type your email address, then choose Advanced options → Let me set up my account manually.
  3. Select IMAP.
  4. Enter the incoming and outgoing servers and ports above.
  5. Enter your password and finish. Outlook tests the connection and you are done.

Not sure whether to pick IMAP or POP3?

Our explainer on the difference between POP3 and IMAP makes the choice easy — for most people, IMAP is best.

Frequently asked questions

Outlook will not send mail. What is wrong?

Make sure outgoing (SMTP) authentication is enabled and uses your full email and password. If port 465 is blocked on your network, try 587.

I get a certificate warning for the mail server.

Use mail.yourdomain.com only after your SSL certificate covers it, or use the server hostname we provided to avoid the warning.

Can I also use webmail at the same time?

Yes. With IMAP, webmail and Outlook stay perfectly in sync.
