How to Set Up Email Forwarders in Webuzo

An email forwarder quietly sends a copy of every message that arrives at one address on to another. It is perfect for team aliases like support@yourdomain.com, or for funnelling several addresses into one inbox you actually check.

Create a forwarder in Webuzo

  1. Log in to your Webuzo Enduser Panel.
  2. Open the Email section and click Forwarders (or Email Forwarders).
  3. Enter the address to forward from (for example info@yourdomain.com).
  4. Enter the destination address to forward to.
  5. Click Add. New mail to that address now arrives at the destination too.

Forwarders vs mailboxes

A forwarder does not store mail — it passes it along. If you want messages kept on the server as well, create a real mailbox with how to create an email account in Webuzo, then add a forwarder alongside it.

Setting up a catch-all address

A catch-all captures mail sent to any name at your domain, even addresses that do not exist. Look for the Default Address or Catch-All option on the Forwarders page and point it to your main inbox. Use it sparingly, though — catch-alls can attract a lot of spam.

Frequently asked questions

Can I forward one address to several people?

Yes. Add multiple forwarders from the same source address, each pointing to a different destination.

Will forwarded mail hurt my deliverability?

Forwarding to large providers can occasionally trip spam filters. Proper SPF and DMARC records — added under DNS records — help keep forwarded mail trusted.

How do I stop a forwarder?

Return to the Forwarders page and delete it. Mail will then stay only in the original mailbox.
