How to Install Web Apps with Softaculous in Webuzo
Webuzo comes with Softaculous built in — a one-click installer for hundreds of web applications. Whether you want a Joomla website, a Magento store, a phpBB forum or a Laravel starter, Softaculous handles the files, database and setup for you. No manual downloads, no config files.
Find and install an app
- Log in to your Webuzo Enduser Panel.
- Open the Apps or Softaculous section.
- Browse the categories (Blogs, CMS, E-Commerce, Forums and more) or search for the app you want.
- Click the app, then Install.
- Fill in the details — domain, directory, admin username, password and email — then click Install again.
In under a minute the app is live, with links to the site and its admin area.
Tips for a smooth install
- Leave the directory blank to install at your domain root (recommended), or set one for a subfolder.
- Use a strong admin password and avoid the username “admin”.
- Secure it afterwards with a free certificate — see installing Let’s Encrypt SSL in Webuzo.

Frequently asked questions
Can Softaculous keep my apps updated?
Yes. It can auto-update installations and take a backup before each update, which you can enable per install.
How do I remove an app I installed?
Open Softaculous, find the installation under your current installs, and use the uninstall option. This removes its files and database.
Will installing overwrite my existing site?
Only if you install into a folder that already contains a site. Always double-check the domain and directory before confirming.
