How to Create a Website in CyberPanel

CyberPanel is a free control panel built on the fast OpenLiteSpeed web server, and creating a website in it is refreshingly direct. In a single form you set the domain, owner, PHP version and more, and CyberPanel does the rest. If you have not logged in yet, see logging in to CyberPanel.

Step 1: Open the Create Website page

Log in to CyberPanel.
In the left menu, go to Websites → Create Website.

Step 2: Fill in the details

Select Package — choose a package (the default is fine to start).
Select Owner — the admin, or a specific user.
Domain Name — enter your domain, e.g. yourdomain.com.
Email — an administrative email for the site.
Select PHP — pick a current, supported PHP version.
Click Create Website.

CyberPanel sets up the site, its folder and its virtual host on OpenLiteSpeed.

Step 3: Add a database if needed

Applications like WordPress need a database. In CyberPanel, go to Databases → Create Database, attach it to your site, and note the name, user and password for your app's installer.

Step 4: Upload files and point your domain

Upload your site's files via the File Manager or FTP into the site's public_html, then point your domain at the server — see pointing a domain with A records — and allow for propagation. Finish by adding SSL — see installing a Let's Encrypt certificate in CyberPanel.

Frequently asked questions

Does CyberPanel install WordPress for me?

Yes — CyberPanel includes an option to deploy WordPress (and some other apps) when or after creating a site, which sets up the database and files together. You can also install manually.

What is a "package" in CyberPanel?

A package defines resource limits (disk, bandwidth, number of sites) for accounts. The default works for getting started; create custom packages when you host for multiple users.

My site isn't loading after creating it.

Confirm your domain points to the server's IP and that DNS has propagated. Until then, the site exists on the server but visitors cannot reach it by domain yet.
