How to Configure Your Webuzo Email in Outlook and on Mobile
Reading email in your browser is fine, but most people prefer it in Outlook or their phone’s mail app. Connecting Webuzo email takes a couple of minutes once you have the right server settings — and those settings are the same across every device.
If you have not created a mailbox yet, start with how to create an email account in Webuzo.
Your Webuzo email settings
Use these values, replacing yourdomain.com with your actual domain. We recommend IMAP so your mail stays in sync everywhere.
- Incoming server (IMAP):
mail.yourdomain.com, port 993, SSL/TLS - Incoming server (POP3):
mail.yourdomain.com, port 995, SSL/TLS - Outgoing server (SMTP):
mail.yourdomain.com, port 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS) - Username: your full email address (for example
you@yourdomain.com) - Password: the mailbox password you set
- Authentication: required for outgoing mail
Setting it up in Outlook
- Open Outlook and go to File → Add Account.
- Enter your email address and choose Advanced setup (or IMAP).
- Type the incoming and outgoing servers and ports from the list above.
- Enter your full email address and password, then finish.
Setting it up on iPhone or Android
- Open Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account (iPhone) or your mail app’s Add account option (Android).
- Choose Other, then IMAP.
- Enter the incoming and outgoing details above and save.
Frequently asked questions
Should I choose IMAP or POP3?
Choose IMAP. It keeps every device in sync, so an email you read on your phone also shows as read on your laptop. POP3 downloads mail to one device only.
My outgoing mail will not send.
Make sure “My outgoing server requires authentication” is enabled, and try SMTP port 587 if 465 is blocked on your network.
Should I use my domain or the server hostname?
Use mail.yourdomain.com once your SSL certificate covers it. If you get a certificate warning, use the server hostname your host provided instead.
