How to import a database using phpMyAdmin

In this article, we will show you how to import a database using phpMyAdmin. This is assumed that you have already created a blank database in your cPanel account and you wish to import your existing database file to your blank database.

Step 1: Log in to cPanel account.

Step 2: Go to phpMyAdmin.

Step 3: Select the database where you want to import.

Step 4: Click on the Import tab.

Step 5: Browse your existing backup database file to import and click on the Go button.

If everything goes fine, you will get a message “Your import has been successful”
