How to Get Your Domain’s EPP/Auth Code for a Transfer

Moving a domain from one registrar to another needs a special password called an EPP code (also known as an Auth code or transfer key). It proves you are the rightful owner and authorises the move. Here is how to get yours.

Get the EPP code for a domain registered with VernalWeb

Log in to your VernalWeb client area at clients.vernalweb.com.
Open Domains → My Domains and click the domain you are transferring away.
In the management menu, choose Get EPP Code (sometimes under Auth Info or Transfer).
The code is shown on screen or emailed to your registered address.

Before you request the code

Unlock the domain — registrar lock must be off, or the transfer will be blocked.
Disable privacy temporarily if the code is sent by email — see domain privacy protection.
Check your admin email is current, since transfer approvals are sent there.

Codes are case-sensitive and can contain symbols — copy and paste rather than typing. If it still fails, request a fresh code, as some expire after a while.

How long does a domain transfer take?

Usually five to seven days, partly because of a built-in confirmation period set by the domain registry. Planning ahead avoids any gap.

Can I transfer a recently registered domain?

Not always — registry rules typically block transfers within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer.
